The “Little White Cloud that Cried” is an explicit tribute to legendary underground filmmaker Jack Smith. This is a 16mm spectacular by Guy Maddin, starring Lexi Tronic and Breanna Taylor and featuring photos by Steve Ackerman. Guy Maddin about the film: Pagan water divinities meet the Holy Duality of Jesus + Virgin in a full-color confrontation upon an Icelandic-Canadian beachhead. A struggle to the finish resolves all the terrestrial/spiritual/ sexual/ conflict in the universe.
“Little White Cloud that Cried” is a part of the project "LIVE FILM! JACK SMITH! Five Flaming Days in a Rented World" organized by Arsenal – Institute for Film and Video Art.
