Jury Members:

Weronika Bilska, cinematographer, graduate of the Silesian University Faculty of Radio and Television, member of PSC. As DP she contributed to more than ten mid-length films and full features many of which gained recognition in Poland and abroad. Winner of the Golden Tadpole at Camerimage Festival and double laureate of the Jan Machulski Polish Independent Cinema Award. Her first feature-length film, Jak całkowicie zniknąć (How to disappear completely) was completed in 2014 in collaboration with Przemysław Wojcieszek. Over the last five years she has shot, among other productions, Kamper, Córka Trenera (A coach’s daughter, dir. Łukasz Grzegorek), Fale (Waves), and Proste Rzeczy (Simple Things) by Grzegorz Zariczny.

Filip Zawada, writer, musician, photographer and poet. He has been a member of AGD, Pustki and Indigo Tree bands. He is the author of System jedynkowy (1997), Bóg Aldehyd (1998), Snajper (2004), Świetne sowy (2013) and Trzy ścieżki nad jedną rzeką sumują się (2014). For his prose compositions Psy pociągowe (2011) and Pod słońce było (2014) he was nominated for the prestigious Gdynia and Silesius awards. His latest work, Przejechałem czarnego kota przez przypadek was one of Poland’s most eagerly anticipated books of 2019.

Małgorzata Kozubek, film expert and lecturer at Wrocław University and the Lodz Film School. Author of Film Therapy: theory and practice (Gdańsk 2016). Co-editor of two monographies: Polish Documentary Film of the XXI Century (Łódź 2016) and Polish Animation of the XXI Century (Łódź 2017). Head of the Wrocław branch of the Polish Association for Film and Media Research, member of the European Network for Cinema and Media Studies. 

Jarosław Perduta, director of the Lower Silesian Film Centre; Wrocław native and manager with experience at several public institutions; specialist in communication and social dialogue; former journalist and TV producer. Member of NGO’s supporting cultural, social and educational projects, both local and international. Co-originator and coordinator of social campaigns. Graduate of international internships programmes (Birmingham, Dortmund, Dresden).

The jury will award the Lower Silesia Grand Prix to the creator of the best film competing in the Wrocław section of the Festival.

After the ceremony the audience is invited to the screening of My generation.
