Britpop Brexit Party – silent disco / opener of the festival
Free admission

Not long till Brexit might finally dawn on us all. On that memorable day, when Brexit will happen and the UK will divorce itself from the European Union, it is fairly reasonable to assume that British music will be forbidden in Europe. Let’s take a minute and grasp the last occasion to enjoy it. We invite you all to the opening party of the 16th Millennium Docs Against Gravity! During the inaugural silent disco we will try and savour British music till it’s not too late. On each channel you will hear music from a different era. The Beatles will claim that Everybody’s Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey, the guys from Blur will be fighting the Oasis ones, our good friend M.I.A. will return to the dancefloor of Kulturalna, The Rolling Stones will sing about the devil, whilst The Smith will plea that somewhere out there is a light that supposedly never goes out, with a resurrection performed by Amy Winehouse. But we won’t play any Robbie Williams records and we won’t apologize for that. When the clock strikes midnight and „God Save the Queen” by The Sex Pistols blasts from the speakers we will declare the festival open. Theresa May’s surname translated into Polish also means the month of May. The month of our festival. Coincidence? Maybe yes, maybe not.
