Pauline Kael was one of the most influential and relevant movie critics in the history of cinema. Her impact on the perception of American cinema over the last three decades of the 20^th century was greater than anyone else’s. Her reviews appearing in “The New Yorker” were a brash testament of her love of cinema, hailing the emergence of new talents or almost ending the careers of certain directors.

Michał Oleszczyk – screenwriting consultant, film critic, lecturer at the Artes Liberales department of the University of Warsaw. Artistic director of the Polish Film Festival from 2013 to 2016. Recipient of the Krzysztof Mętrak Award and the Jan Machulski Award for his lifelong support of independent Polish cinema.
