Corporal memory, awareness of place: chat with director Jaśmina Wójcik Monday after the film “Symphony of The Ursus Factory” by Jaśmina Wójcik

In Polish only

Partner: Institute of Philosophy, University of Silesia in Katowice

"The Symphony of the Ursus Factory" is the fruit of a project which spanned several years and involved the director’s interaction with former employees of one of Poland’s most renowned manufacturing plants. How did their workplace impact their corporal awareness? How was the human body applied within the mechanism the factory was? How does returning there after many years affect the memory and the body? During the meeting with the director we will bring up the question of post-industrial sites in the context of postmodern urban space and the philosophy of place.
