ALISA KOVALENKO

The director of "Home Games". An award-winning Ukrainian director. After a student first film, "Sister Zo", her feature-length documentary "Alisa in Warland" about the war in Eastern Ukraine was premiered in 2015 at IDFA Amsterdam in the First appearance competition. In 2018, Alisa released "Home Games", selected in 30 festivals such as Sheffield Doc/Fest, IDFA Amsterdam, Fipadoc Biarritz, Tempo Stockholm, Docpoint Helsinki, One World Prague. The development of "Home Games" started through a creative partnership between Docudays UA and The Guardian, leading to the creation of a short version of the film. She was recently editor-in-chief of a 10-part documentary series for Current Time TV. Alisa lives and works in Kyiv.
