Debate: Why doesn’t anyone ever ask me if there was love in the ghetto? after the screening of “Marek Edelman... and There Was Love in the Ghetto” by Jolanta Dylewska
In Polish only
Partner: Zwierciadło Magazine

“Why doesn’t anyone ever ask me if there was love in the ghetto? Why does nobody think about it?” - asked Marek Edelman shortly before his death in 2009. Jolanta Dylewska’s long-awaited documentary showcases the tales of random people remembered by the last leader of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. The common thread of all these stories is love: from romantic through familial to the love of your fellow man. The docudrama took years to complete; what was Dylewska’s method? What were her conversations with Edelman like? How do his words relate to what we know about human nature? All this and more will be covered at the debate organized by the Zwierciadło magazine.

Moderator:
Zofia Fabjanowska-Micyk – journalist, culture editor of the Zwierciadło magazine.

Guests:
