A Transplant
For a severely ill person expecting an organ donation, life is a stressful mix of hope and doubt. As their existence hangs by a thread, waiting can be fatal… Shannon, a young woman with cystic fibrosis, is running out of life; Nolan, 3, is dealing with terminal liver cancer; and Suzanne is hoping a new kidney will bring her back to life. As the film depicts their struggle, it also focuses on the donor, her family, and the doctors and nurses, all deeply affected by this journey. "A Transplant" is a race against time, from the moment a donor’s loved ones give consent… to a life-saving operation.
