“Focus” Magazine Award for the Greatest Personality of the Festival

This year, once again we will give out the “Focus” Magazine Award for the Greatest Personality of the Festival. The award will go to space engineer Lutz Kayser, the sadly deceased protagonist of the film “Fly Rocket Fly” by Oliver Schwehm. Lutz Kayser as an enthusiastic German student in 1795 founded with his friends the space company OTRAG which entered the space race alongside USA and USSR.

The director of "Fly Rocket Fly". Born in Mainz in 1975, Oliver started making films in school. After studying literature and philosophy he accomplished a master degree in documentary film making. Oliver's films are often dealing with pop culture and literature. "Fly Rocket Fly“ is his first adventure in a more scientific domain and his first feature length documentary. Besides filming, Oliver also works as commissioning editor for arte where he has co-produced many internationally acclaimed documentaries.
