Cinema in the Dark – meeting after the film “Hi, A.I.” by Isa Willinger
In Polish only
The screenings with audio description and subtitles for the hearing-impaired via the AudioMovie app are organized in partnership with Bank Millennium. The Q&A is organized in partnership with Fundacja Katarynka.
Can technology substitute the sense of sight? Does it grant access to culture, cinema and independent living? Or perhaps it is addictive and makes people dependant? Close your eyes and find out for yourselves. Thanks to Katarynka foundation we will immerse ourselves in the dark. Remember to bring your smartphone and your headphones. We are then going to grant you an experience that will let you find out whether cinema can be enjoyed trough hearing. After our collective experience we will invite you for a chat with a blind keen moviegoer, who will familiarise us with the applications of the latest technologies.
Katarynka foundation: established in 2010, the foundation supports blind and hearing-impaired persons in accessing culture.
